Title: Introduction to Painting in Acrylics

Materials needed:
Picture of object or animal you would like to paint - for reference
Materials provided:
1 - 11 x 14 canvas
Paints/brushes/easel
Spray mat varnish - Glossy or matte finish
Hanging mechanism

Description: In this work shop we will get to explore basic painting techniques and mixing of colors. This will allow for some time to play and even bounce ideas off fellow painters to help create your own masterpiece.

Title:Fused Glass Pendants: Next Scheduled Class February 25th, 10 AM
Instructor: Delores Madigan
Description: Explore the art of fused glass making while making beautiful fused glass pendants or earrings. Fee covers instruction and materials for three pendants or three sets of earrings or combination there of. Additonal materials may be purchased at the time of the class for a nominal upcharge.

Tile Art : Next Scheduled Session March 10th
Duration: 1-1.5 hours
Materials needed:
Picture of object or animal you would like to paint - for reference
Materials provided:
4 - 3 x 3 sanded tiles
Paints/brushes
backing hook - for hanging, cloth foots - for coasters
Description: In this workshop we get to paint 3x3 tiles. We will play with colors and techniques on the tiles. A reference of an image you would like to paint is suggested or we will come up with one. Will have access to 4 different tiles to paint within the 1.5 hour time frame. Once completed, I will provide instructions for what to do once tiles are dry. These tiles can be used as framed pieces, coasters, or applied as tiles. Only food safe if tiles are baked per instructions given.

Cartooning I: The Fine Art of the Doodle
Duration: 2 Hours
Fee and Materials: $35,
Materials include paper, pencils and illustration pens for use in session. Take home kit consisting of pencil kit, "inking" pens and small sketch book for $20 must be preordered. Participants may bring favoritedrawing supplies but are encouraged to label them.
Content:
Learn the basics of penciling and inking cartoon art with an emphasis on producing results that easily translate into t-shirts or other secondary printing process. Basics of cartooning proportion, artistic composition, value and shading will be covered as part of instruction.
Emphasis on "Garfield" like or comic book/magna art is the decision of the participant. The basic principles taught in this class will apply to both.
Age Appropriateness: This session is designed for all ages with a minimum age of 8 to 10 years. Participant descression is advised and addtional support is available for youth and others with special challenges.
Title:Acrylic Studio
Instructor: Mark Dilley
Description: Bring your own materials and easel and paint with Mark. Advise and instruction as needed. This is a class for people who want an "excuse" to get back to a long neglected piece, hobby or deep creative need. Begineers welcome but for more individual attention please see either Beginning Acrylics with Kris, or Acrylic Lessons with Mark. Fee includes space, water, refreshments and hospitality. Optional materials kit is available for purchase for those who wish to join. Studio sessions will be in the upper gallery or outdoors weather permitting. Walk ins welcome.
Addtional support available for interested parties with exceptional needs.
